My family used Ben McGlade as our barrister in a legal matter and we were astounded at his incompetence. He turned up to court unprepared, charged us double what we were originally told he would charge and he appeared inebriated whenever we met with him. On top of this we lost the case he assured us we would win and then tried to charge us more money to look at why we lost! We were told later by another law firm that Mr. McGlade was lucky to even have a licence to practice law as he was charged by police for leading them on a high speed chase when drunk and when we looked up his name on the Queensland Courts database of cases I was astounded to see this was exactly right.
