The 17th International Mental Health Conference will be held at the brand new Sea World Resort Conference Centre on the Gold Coast, QLD from the 11 -12 August 2016. The conference theme is “Guiding the Change” and addresses the broad spectrum of mental disorders. This conference will bring together leading clinical practitioners, academics, service providers and mental health experts to deliberate and discuss Mental Health issues confronting Australia and New Zealand. Dr Jonathan Toussaint will present a conference paper titled: “The Influence of Fathers on Children’s Mental Health”. This presentation will examine the link between father attachment and involvement, and determinants of children’s mental health outcomes, particularly in relation to externalizing or disruptive behaviour problems.
