The Director
Daniel Momsen, the director of South West Building Company, has over 15 years of building expertise locally, interstate, and internationally.

Daniel's approach to building and construction is heavily influenced by modern nordic design and innovation, despite his Australian birth and Danish lineage.

Daniel is a trained carpenter and building inspector with extensive hands-on experience, including supervisory roles on big commercial projects and high-end residential construction. Daniel's exposure to many sorts of construction projects, building inspections, and building maintenance has given him an eye for detail, quality, and a well-rounded understanding of Australian building standards.

Daniel came to the Southwest with his wife Sharlee and their three children in 2014. They immediately felt at ease in this magnificent region of the globe and have settled in Dunsborough. Daniel is an avid surfer who appreciates the goodness of local wines, brews, and food!

Sharlee Momsen
Sharlee, a busy mother of three, manages the accounts and administrative duties of South West Building Company. She juggles her profession with pilates, laundry, and a home taxi service. Sharlee has worked in hospitality for over 20 years and is precise in detail. She genuinely cares about providing exceptional customer service to our clients, tradies, and suppliers.

Hannah Martin
Hannah Martin was born and raised in Canada and has a background and passion for design and construction. Before joining South West Building Company as a Project Manager, she worked for engineering firms in New York City and Perth, specialising in commercial structural drafting and BIM technology. She has a solid technical grasp, expertise in numerous software tools for 3D modelling, and a desire to push the boundaries of design and construction.

Hannah and her husband Derek made the decision to build and move in the south-west in early 2020. Their love of the outdoors led them to the mountain bike routes in Margs, the Cape to Cape, and some of the best beaches in the world. She is our team's project manager and office manager, and she will be your personal point of contact during your build.

We work with local architects, construction designers, and engineers that know the area and can design a home that is environmentally friendly. Each project is tailored to your budget and design brief.
