The business began with Mr. Arch Day in the 1920’s when he decided to start selling farms instead of working on them. From there the business grew and became known by all as A.C. Day & Son. In 1960 Alan Halliwell Snr. And his son Don Halliwell bought into the business. Don moved from Launceston and his job in real estate at Richards & Woolcock to work at A.C. Day & Son. Soon after the business name changed to A.C. Day & Halliwell.
