Building a new House or an Addition is a big undertaking, which leaves no room for irreparable design flaws. There is a lot more to designing a brand new home or an addition to an existing residence, than simply drawing lines and boxes on a piece of paper then calling them rooms.
Unfortunately most display homes are designed on a budget, where it is more important to shave room sizes and make a few dollars more, than it is to give the customer a better design. For this reason almost every display home is riddled with design flaws.
Smaller kitchens, laundry’s, bath rooms and ensuites are great examples of that.
How many times have you seen a shower which is too small for a grown man to bend over and wash his legs?
How many houses have you lived in that didn’t have enough linen, or storage space?
It’s always better, to design a custom home which best suits you and your block of land, than it is to go with something that was designed to be built cheaper by cutting corners.
