Silky Shapes Studio offers pottery classes for all levels of experience – from the first timer with no experience through to the competent potter needing only access to wheels and a kiln.

Our beginners' 3 class package is designed to teach wheel throwing, trimming and glazing basic cylinders. The classes are 2 hours long, provide detailed demonstrations and continuous oversight, and include all materials.

Upon completion of the beginners' class, students are welcome to continue classes where they will improve their basic skills and learn more advanced techniques so they can take on bigger projects and make sets of matching functional ware, teapots, mold and slip cast pottery, slab and coil building, as well as various surface decoration techniques.

Customized pottery classes are available for groups and can be a perfect solution for birthday parties, team building, hen parties, etc. During these events your guests can either make their own pieces from clay and leave them to be finalized by us before they can be picked up in a few weeks or take advantage of ready ceramic pieces, which they can personalize and decorate the way they want to.

Our regular pottery classes are suitable for children from age 12. If you are interested in organizing an event for a group of children aged below 12, please call to discuss the details.
