AKKA Martial Arts Perth offers kickboxing, Krav Maga self defence as well as karate classes for the whole family.
Our Karate classes run out of three locations across Perth. Dalkeith, Mt Claremont and Osborne Park. Our karate classes are broken down into different age and ability groups offering the best development and self esteem building experience for your budding martial artists!
Our Little Dragons classes are for children 4 and 5 years of age. Especially designed karate for young children which develops their coordination, focus and motor skills. The classes give your child an excellent foundation of kicks, punches, blocks and stances which sets them excellently when they progress into the kids karate classes.
Our kids karate classes are for children 6 -13 years. The karate classes work on building confidence, skill and friendship while progressing through a syllabus of techniques that help your child work towards goals.
Many of our parents believe the benefits of martial arts are more than just physical for their kids. They say martial arts can help to improve kids’ self-control, attention and other executive functioning skills.
Classes include learning spatial awareness, blocking, kicks, punches, movement, through specific repetitive movements to help establish connections with the mind and body.
Teen and Adult Karate class. These classes run exclusively out of our Osborne Park fully fitted dojo. The classes offer a fun and friendly environment for teens to get away from the pressures of school and social burdens and encourages development on a personal journey. The class is great for adults too being a social way to workout, have fun and feel great!

Krav Maga Perth - Krav Maga is a military self-defence and fighting system developed for the Israel Defence Forces (IDF) and Israeli security forces derived from a combination of techniques sourced from boxing, wrestling, JuJitsu, judo and karate.

Our academy in Osborne Park is one of limited places offering self defence classes for children in Perth. Our specialised Kids Krav Maga and Self Defence classes will teach your children not only awareness to try to avoid any potential harmful situations primarily but what to do in real life situations such as bullying at school, dealing with adult attackers, multiple attackers to being able to read a situation and to walk away.
The Kids Krav Maga and Self Defence classes are a dynamic mix of defence, strikes, kicks, body grab escapes and ground work.
As parents we want our children to be safe and be able to defend themselves should they need it. Having the ability technically as well as the fitness, muscle memory and strength to be able to effectively stay safe against a school bully or adult attacker comes with repetitious training.
