Printing times are further shortened by an array of cutting-edge automated mechanisms, such as fully automatic plate changing, a high-performance perfecting (double sided printing) mechanism that uses three double-size transfer cylinders and Komori's unique sheet path design, maintained by smooth, stress-free sheet transfers and air guides. The press utilises high efficiency inverter style motors and pumps to minimise power consumption. The full automation with Komori high speed inking reduces paper waste. The use of a cloth wash system means there is no liquid waste produced. The oil-less bearings and integrated oil pump and filter also have a reduced impact on the environment. The press accommodates non-alcohol inks, so instead of using solvent based inks we use 100% vegetable-soy based inks.
